The paragon of journalistic integrity

One of the great thing about journalistic wires is you have access to stories that normally wouldn’t be reported. This means you are more “in touch” with the every day Joe – they report the little things many people don’t hear about.

A prime example is this story. Sure, the kid wasn’t badly hurt (3 stitches after a piranha in a fountain bit him) but the human element behind this story can’t be beat. This kid survived a real trial (how many among us can say they were bitten by a piranha?) and it’s good to see that kind of thing reported– even if it’s not by every major news source.

Keep up the journalistic integrity! Sticking up for the little man!

Letting You Become Part of the Process!

As most of you know journalists bring the world into your living room. Unfortunately common people aren't usually a part of this process. Today I, Simon Simpson, am giving you that oppertunity! I recently discovered this site and am thinking of writing up a story on it. What you get to do is give me your comments on the site and how you feel it affects you as a person and democracy as a whole. Your comments will become part of an actual news story that will be published by a major media outlet! Just think of what your friends will say!

Thanks for your input!

Discalimer: Comments will become my property and you won't get credit for them.

Thoughts on Journalism

As a journalist I have a unique perspective on the world. I have the ability to see a story where others see only a child playing in the sand. A recent PollMasterUSA poll showed that well over 95% of Americans feel that journalists are a beacon of truth in a deceitful world.

I am proud to be a part of this community.

Yours Truly,
Simon Simpson

Breaking news!

Just got this off the wires, sorry I don't have a link for it, I will update when the major media catches up with the newswires.

Apparently a drug sniffing dog died in London from a drug overdose! Details are sketchy at this point but one thing is clear, we can add another mark in the casualty column of the failed drug war!

More details when they come in!

Welcome to Look Ma I'm a Journalist

Hello fellow netzin!

My name is Simon Simpson and I am a journalist. I created this site because I wanted to educate my fellow citizens of this world about all the interesting things that happen around you that you might not even know about! As some of you may know journalists have access to quite a bit of resources the general public just doesn't have. One of these is the amazing vault of information known as "the newswire."

If you look at your local newspaper you will see that you only get a limited selection of the news out there. My objective is to let you in on the news you miss!

Thank you for taking the time to browse this site and feel free to drop me a line!

Sincerely,
Simon Simpson
